When it comes to celebrating the holidays, cookie baking is part of our family tradition! The ultimate joy of home baking is turning simple ingredients into something wonderful to eat. With the season approaching, I look forward to my daughters tying on their teen aprons and making our family favorite sugar cookie recipe. Remember to enjoy the pleasures of the process and the homey and imperfect cookies that fill the hearts and tummies of the family and friends we love.

My daughter and I in our matching mother daughter aprons.

When we participate in local shows in the Green Bay and Appleton areas we often have women come up to our display saying, “These are Amy’s aprons!” Amy Hanten has her own cooking and lifestyle show on FOX 11 at 9am on weekday mornings. We have created many custom cooking aprons for her and cute children’s aprons for her daughter Ireland for the show. We are delighted that Amy’s fans find our aprons unique and beautiful. We would like to say “thank you” to Amy and her finds for supporting us!

Kitchen aprons help you stay clean.
The main reason people use kitchen aprons is to help them stay clean while cooking. When the time allows, you may be able wear older clothes to cook, but if you are rushing home from work and starting supper, aprons can save you on your dry cleaning bill. If you splatter yourself with grease you really have a problem. Wearing a kitchen apron will help to guard you against any of the mess getting onto your clothing. Washing an apron is easier and less expensive than running your suit to the dry cleaners.
Kitchen aprons help your food stay safe.
Aprons also help protect your food. While out in public you may be exposed to chemicals and other harmful things that could make you ill if they get into or on your food. Since aprons act as a barrier between you and food, they will prevent your food from being contaminated.
Kitchen aprons are multi-purpose.
Often, a kitchen apron is used for many more things than just cooking. If you need to do a bit of cleaning in your good clothes, slip on an apron and get the job done without worries. Gardening aprons are great for harvesting vegetables in the fall. Aprons are also used when planting flower beds and making crafts.
There are many kitchen aprons styles.
When shopping for an apron there are a few things to consider. Aprons are usually full coverage aprons or half aprons. Some aprons are reversible for two looks in one and some have ruffles. Kitchen aprons come in many styles and fabric choices. There are aprons for women, men and children. With all these apron choices, you’ll find the right one for you.
